My friend is selling his utterly mint condition 1990 325i vert. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking.....

I’ve posted a couple pictures of it before. He’s had it 16 or 17 years I believe, and it’s stock other than the stereo, wheels, H&R springs and Bilstein HDs, which is basically a requirement on any old BMW.

It’s the only chrome bumper E30 that I don’t think needs Euro bumpers, I’ve never seen another one with diving boards that are so shiny and new looking. The body colour plastic on the side helps too, and the lack of deformity from being in the sun. Oh and it only has 160k kms on it....I’m gonna miss this car being around.

I always thought it was neat how driver-focused that dashboard is. Everything is tilted towards the driver.

Very nice car, but not for me :)

Never been attracted toward convertible. If I were to get a miata or a S2000, first thing I’d get would be a hardtop for them.

Actually, that would be the only Miata I’d buy (unless I find one that moves on its own for 500$, which is findable in japan)

They go for 20k$ here in Japan (400 ever built only), but I LOVE the design so much, that I wouldn’t mind spending that kind of money for it. This one happens to belong to a neigbour of mine. I want it. REALLY bad :)

This is phenomenal. I’d love to have a car this old that looks this good. Especially if I was the one responsible for it looking that good.

I think old convertibles often die an early death, when the tricky roof bits start to fail and there’s no cheap way to fix them. Makes this all the more special.

Looks very nice; it's the complete opposite of those 325i convertibles we saw the Top Gear trio drive in that one episode.

We've got no sedans or coupes at the moment, other than the one 318is but my friend is keeping it forever apparently. But if I spot a good one, or we get one I'll keep you in mind!

I actually like the odd headlight covers, and body kit on that yellow one. They’re both kinda “outdated” I guess, but they work well together along with the the bright paint to make a car that looks a bit cartoony, but in a good way.

Not much of a bimmer guy, or a cabrio guy. But, as Freiburger would say, that thing is MINT. 10/10 would buy and then massively regret my purchase once Albertan Winter comes back.

As much as i love the E30, i feel like it overshadows the E28 a wee bit too much. You just never hear anything about the E28, which is kind of sad imho.

I feel that, the E28 does deserve more attention. At the same time, they really don’t need to be worth more.....it’s already borderline impossible to get a manual 533 or 535 in half decent shape for less than 3k. Anything properly good is over 5k....it’s like they’re quietly in demand. My friends manual 86 535i he used to have is still the most fun car I've ever driven

You’re going to love this then, around August one of my neighbors had a manual 533I and he was moving and couldn’t bring it with him, so my dad made a deal with him for $2200. The car sat for quite a while but she has no body rust and runs well. The absolute best part is that it’s going to be my first car, I feel so lucky. Also I get to learn a manual so that will be fun.

That’s awesome! If there’s no body rust, that’s an awesome deal. Around here they’ve usually got rear subframe mount and shock tower rust by now. The M30 and G260 are an excellent drivetrain combo. Do you know if it has an LSD? Oh and what’s the colour combo?

But it looks like this except the rims are different and the fog lights have something that looks like a cage around them.
